As the US economy continues its decline, individuals are being smarter with their fitness dollars. Therefore, new fitness trends are emerging. We are busier than ever, and financial constraints causes us to make wise fitness decisions. So allow me to indulge you with a few of the new fitness trends.
One of the first fitness trends I’d like to share with you, is that people are doing in-home workouts. They are using portable fitness equipment at home, working out to DVDs, or cable fitness shows, which are easier on budgets.
They are looking for a more time efficient workout. More workouts will be like a Boot Camp style
workout that will burn some serious calories with resistance training. With time constraints being what they are, individuals are also choosing Circuit Training because it provides strength, cardio and endurance training in a limited amount of time.
As fitness trends go, people are finally realizing the health benefits of exercise and they are
dancing! That’s right, classes like Zumba are now being offered at gyms because it is unique and a different style of exercise. The demographics for these type classes includes many baby boomers.
There is a reduction of individuals that choose to use a Personal Trainer, especially when you have Personal Fitness Trainer, Tony Horton designing DVDs like P90X. He is a fabulous trainer who gives an in-home workout, that incorporates many of the fitness trends discussed above. P90X provides all of the above, strength, cardio and endurance training in your own home!
He doesn’t stop there, because he now has a monthly DVD release that’s mailed to your home with new workout routines. In fact, he actually calls it “One on One” with Tony Horton. These releases can really keep a routine fresh! I also hear, that there is a new P90X release coming soon.
Finally, one of the newest
fitness trends we are seeing , is mobile applications for your iphone or Droid. These aps can monitor your training progress, provide you with workouts, muscle specific exercises, calorie counting information, and so much more, all available 24/7.
Maybe you are affected by some of these fitness trends for one reason or another. The reason is irrelevant however, because fitness is still a priority in your life! Good for you!!!
